The Village Presbyterian Church

Village Presbyterian Church, Christchurch

Village Presbyterian Church celebrated the opening of their new building early 2018 on the corner of Illam and Aorangi Road’s in Christchurch. The new building was opened following the losses to the St Stephen’s building due to the earthquake. It is an expression of their commitment to continue their community work that began there in 1950.

The open space feels welcoming and is a focal point for community relationships and activity. Designed by Dalkie Architecture it’s features include stunning exposed timber trusses and framing.

The space came to life with the addition of 140 Black Buro Maxim Chairs supplied by Canterbury Office Furniture. Their passionate team are fuelled with decades of experience and a depth of knowledge. 70 of the Buro Maxim chairs had custom upholstered seat pads with Textilia At Work – Quantum (Lawn) fabric, which added a splash of colour to the interior of the church. The Church also features Buro Lindis 4 Leg chairs with arms.
